BE CREATIVE... For the first time ever, you can have any of the pieces from the Pic n' Mix range - bed, bedside table, bookcase, toy box, desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a truckle bed - individually sprayed from five carefully selected palettes of colour. The special water-based, environmentally friendly paints we use, are applied to this UK made range, which is sustainably sourced and hand-finished to produce the smoothest, hard-wearing surface. What are the Palettes of colour? We've thought long and hard about what adds up to 'fun' for kids and have canvassed a few for ideas. 'Camouflage' said our son, 'Harry Potter' said his best friend, 'I want everything to be all bright and summery' ... and so it went on. We have put together a selection of colours that work well together and help you to create fantastic children's bedrooms, for girls or boys, for any age, from the very young up to teenagers. The palettes are: PIMENTO: Spicy red or hot green. Each piece is painted in this one colour, works well either with several pieces in the same colour or matched with solid wood furniture. |

WHITE +: Gentle nursery colours. Choose from: Snow white, cream, marshmallow pink, sailing boat blue. (option to use Porcelain handles) |

WIZARD: This combination of deep purple and maroon looks great with brass knobs. We suggest the frame of the furniture is in the purple and the drawer and door fronts are in the maroon. Or have them all purple or all maroon. |

TROPICAL: If you are doing a whole room, why not have each piece in a different tropical colour - the bed in guava pink, the bookcase in lush green, the bedside in pineapple yellow, the toybox in grape purple. Whow. |

CAMOUFLAGE: Three shades of classic camouflage colours - khaki green or air-force blue - are applied to each piece to create a really dynamic look. The tops in the darkest shade, the carcase in the mid-tone and drawer and door fronts in the lightest. A lot of individual work goes into creating this great effect, but of course you may choose to have the furniture in just one of the colours, not all three. |

MONDRIAN: It's amazing what colour can do. We think this option is really sophisticated and would work well for older kids. The carcase for each piece is black, with the drawer fronts and doors with an option of the famous Mondrian yellow, red or blue. Of if you prefer, just go for solid black! |

What about the handles? You've probably noticed that not only are there different colours to choose from and combinations of colour on one piece, but also options on the handles. The Pic N' Mix range is ‘hot off the press' and only just launched at Grand Designs Live. Buying this range ‘on-line' is work in progress and should be up shortly. In the meantime if you want to order from the range: 1) Consider the palette for your child's room, then call on 020 7737 7303 and ask for colour swatches to be sent to you. Note that on-line colour matching is not accurate and we do want you to be happy with the colours you have chosen when the furniture is delivered. 2) Call us to place your order. We will send written confirmation and we will ask you to check this carefully. 3) Wait 6 to 8 weeks (at most) for us to prepare the furniture and we will call to arrange a delivery day and time. NB: This is a bespoke service, and unlike the terms of sale with our other ranges, once your Pic N' Mix order is confirmed and we start work, you will not be able to change your mind about colours. Unless the furniture is faulty, we will not be able to take it back if you just change your mind. |
